The final scene of The Emperor's New Clothes. Just as the child is about to speak and expose the emperor's shame, a holy fool bends to the child's level, smiles, winks and presses his index finger to his lips.
The fool then proceeds to pirouette onto the street and in one deft motion takes off his own cloak and covers the Emperor's nakedness, exposing his own.
The crowd is stunned. The music stops. A few giggles are stifled. The Emperor wakes up. The fool can see the shame in the Emperors eyes. Before he can speak and betray himself, the Fool trots, in fake horse fashion, to the band, takes the conductor's baton and counts, "3.. 2.. 1."
